Piano Mic Shootout Pictures
Pictures were taken of most takes to record the microphone placements used. In most cases, the primary attempt was to place the mics so they "sounded good". The camera does a poor job of depth perspective -- in most cases the "Strings" positions were literally above the sound board and the "tail" positions were just outside the knee. Sometimes the pictures do a poor job of translating that.
